Brescia Mobilità, in collaboration with Project Informatica, has adopted the “IoT Smart City” project, which is based on the use of Cisco Meraki platform. The project aims to test and apply a completely new approach to managing the networks used for parking and bike stalls.

Meraki also offered the opportunity to test new use cases on the platform by connecting different sensors: from temperature detection to bus doors, to video monitoring and people counting systems, to security systems.

Starting from the need to simplify the IT management of corporate Wi-Fi, the project has brought benefits to users in immediate terms and in terms of higher quality of service, but it also allows to operate looking at ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) aspects and impacts.

This Report addresses these aspects and measures the impacts that the Meraki-Cisco solution has produced for the benefit of the Brescia community and the sustainable mobility area managed by BS Mobility.
